Kevin Max - Hitting the Big Screen
Texas-based Serendipitous Films has announced that Kevin Max will play the lead role in its fourth independent feature film, The Imposter, which was written and will be directed by Daniel Millican. Kevin's character, Johnny C, does everything "right" as the lead singer of a popular Christian band. But off of the stage, his personal demons (drug addiction and a huge ego) send him down a path that causes him to lose everything that means anything to him. “It’s basically the ‘prodigal son' story,” Max explained in a press release, “And it is one that every artist, rebel or wayward person can relate to.”
Joining Max on the screen will be Kerry Livgren (of Kansas fame). Kerry and Kevin perform a remixed version of "Carry On Wayward Son" during the film and a music video for the song has already been filmed.
Filming has only been underway for the past two weeks, so the "official" website isn't a huge deal yet, but calls for extras and volunteers stay updated.
