2009's Dove Awards Winners
The Doves were presented at a ceremony in Nashville tonight and the biggest winner was Brandon Heath, who took home three of the awards. Other big winners (each winning two) were ...
- Casting Crowns
- Steven Curtis Chapman
- Michael W. Smith
- Jeff & Sheri Easter, Lewis Family, Easter Brothers
- Third Day
Jars of Clay was also honored with the Gospel Music Channel’s “Gospel Angels Award” for its tireless humanitarian efforts. Since 2001, when Blood:Water Mission was founded, Jars of Clay has funded more than 650 water projects, along with hygiene and sanitation training, in 11 African countries, and have provided clean water to more than 500,000 people.
I also have to mention that three of the albums that I was so shocked about after they were left out of the Grammy nods this year all won! Congrats to DecembeRadio (for Satisfied), Third Day (for Revelation) and Group 1 Crew (for Ordinary Dreamers) and congrats to all of the other Dove winners!
