MercyMe's Fatal Bus Accident and the Questions that Have Come From it

Very early Saturday morning MercyMe was leaving in Fort Wayne, Indiana after a show. A car turned in front of their bus as it was going through a green light. The car's two passengers, 17-year-old Barbara R. Schmucker and 19-year-old Dario L. Boutte, died at the scene. The 18-year-old driver, Kara Klinker, who was in her third trimester of pregnancy, survived but remained hospitalized Saturday in critical condition after losing the baby.
Members of MercyMe and their crew sustained minor injuries. They released the following statement and asked their fans to continue to pray for the families of those in the car ...
"MercyMe would like to express their incredible heartache over this horrible accident. They are praying for the families of all who this will affect, and are asking others to please pray as well. The band and crew sustained minor bumps and bruises, however their hearts are heavy. They appreciate the concern they have received from people all over the world."
The Rochester Christian Living Examiner Joanne Brokaw wrote a poignant piece about the crash and God's hand (or lack of it) in it after reading comments posted by readers on the STLToday.com website that reported the accident.
Since it seems as though the common question after any tragedy (by non-believers as well as some believers) is "Why did God let that happen?," this is one article you don't want to miss.

God did not do this to anyone. Its just like us with our own children. When they fall, we didn’t allow it to happen, It just did. God is our heavenly father, he can’t stop it from happening, it happeneds. Its called feewill and blaiming him isn’t the answer. It is mans mistake, not Gods, he makes no mistake.
My heart is saddened to hear this terrible news. Yes 2 lives were lost but they are with our Lord Jesus. I pray for the families that God will make his presence to them with comfort and give thenm the strength that only God can give them. My prayers and thoughts to you.
Well done Boo.. as always you bring it to the table and give us pause to consider the bigger picture..
I pray that the people of this horrfic and tragic car and bus crash take time to call on God to heal and remember that you are all remember that they are not gone but are with him
“The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all. Psalm 34:17-19….I’ll pray for your band and your families… God bless you all…
why is this God’s fault? what do you mean where was God when this happened? What about the driver of the car? i maen really now, how can you not see a huge bus when it is right in front of you? it is not God’s fault that someone was not being responsible and killed three other people.
may God use His healing balm to heal the victims and their families.may He give them beauty for their ashes in jesus name.
kara was my friend and she and should have not died like that !!!!!!
