Jennifer Knapp News
Maybe you've heard rumors that Jennifer Knapp is coming back but you didn't believe them. Well folks, it's true! On Friday, Jennifer posted a letter to fans on her official website and her MySpace that she is back and she even included a new song on her MySpace. I've listened and while she sounds like the Jennifer know and love, she has matured without losing a step.
Welcome back Jennifer! We've missed you!

I had hoped that the rumors swirling about Jenn were untrue, and stood up against them over the years. I am sad to say that, based on information through a common friend Jenn and I share, that Jenn is indeed living an ‘alternative’ lifestyle. A person closely involved in her career is her lover. This ruins her Christian witness, and invalidates anything she has to say, since she is chosing to live in sin.
Dear Girl_In_Mizzou,
You shared that a “common friend” that you and Jennifer Knapp share has told you that she is living an ‘alternative’ lifestyle.
“Someone told me” is considered to be hearsay in courts as well as on this site. Add to that the fact that you didn’t choose to share your name when you made the accusation means that you aren’t giving Jennifer Knapp an opportunity to face you as her accuser.
As for the lifestyle that you accuse her of living ruining “her Christian witness” and invalidating “anything she has to say, since she is chosing to live in sin” – are you saying that anyone with sin in their lives has no ability to be a witness for Christ? If that is the case then we ALL need to sit down and be quiet (you are included in that, as am I) because each and every one of us has sin in our lives. If sin invalidates anything we have to say then Jesus died on the cross for absolutely nothing.
What if your mutual friend was angry or upset with Jennifer and told you a lie about her (as people sometimes do)? You come onto my site and report is as gospel truth because you heard it? The Bible tells us that if we have a problem with someone, we are supposed to go to that person and talk to them directly first. Have you met with Jennifer Knapp to confront her with the rumor that you heard about her? I am thinking no because had that happened, I suspect you would have shared it in your post as it would give more credence to what you say.
Bottom line – this is nothing more than gossip and you are using my site to spread it. Is your own life so perfect in the eyes of the Lord that you have nothing to work on or work out, giving you plenty of time to pick apart other people’s lives? Jesus himself talked about being so concerned with the “speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye” that you “pay no attention to the plank in your own eye.”
In the future, if you have heard a rumor about someone else, do everyone a favor and don’t spread it even further. Spreading rumors isn’t bearing a Christian witness – it’s just being a gossip.
AMEN!
I, for one, have been waiting for Jennifer’s return to Christian music. She’s been gone far too long. If she is ‘living in sin’ while spreading the message, then how is she any different than a thief or whore? And if I remember, Jesus came for such as these…with that said, unless she comes out directly and says “I’m living an alternative lifestyle” we have no right to judge her, and even THEN we still have no right…judgment is for God alone!
Personally I have met Jen on a couple of occassions and I can say that she is a woman of God. She had a great sense of humor when I teased her about her height, and even remembered my teasing a year later and gave it right back to me. Her music is a positive message and comes from the heart – where our Lord is within each of us.
I look forward to hearing more from Jennifer…I thank God for her music, and her return. She is using the gifts He gave her in a positive way…that is what matters most to me.
Bring it on, Jennifer…we’ve been waiting for you…what was lost has been found!
AMEN! I’m glad to see a Christian artist be real. and yes none of us are without sin. I love Jennifer Knapp and have been awaiting new stuff. i just saw her at the Belcourt Theater—i was absolutely blown away.
Welcome back Jen–we are standing with open arms–thanks for music from the heart–things real people can relate to.
we love you!!
