The VeggieTales, Matthew West and Amy Grant have delivered the song that I'm naming The Theme Song for this Christmas season with the new VeggieTales DVD, Saint Nicholas - A Story of Joyful Giving.
Co-written by Matthew and performed by he and Amy, "Give This Christmas Away" will touch you in places long since overcome by the commercialism of the season and the video will bring tears to your eyes while it puts a smile on your face.
Big Idea, the creators of VeggieTales, has partnered with Operation Christmas Child to collect gifts for needy children around the world for Christmas this year in the spirit of giving Christmas away. More than 65,000 churches across the country have held shoe box collection activities and there is still time to participate through the Operation Christmas Child website or by bringing your filled shoebox to one of Matthew's Christmas concerts.
Matthew West will be going on the road with Bob & Larry from Veggie Tales for his first Christmas tour, "The Give This Christmas Away Tour." Matthew will sing carols and St. Nicholas - A Story Of Joyful Giving will be shown at each show.
