After what happened yesterday in Newtown, Connecticut, it feels almost wrong to be doing "normal" things today. I am praying for the families of the victims and the town. (It's all that I can do for those touched by the tragedy.) And I'm making fudge with my family. Fudge fixes nothing, granted, but it's less about the "what" and more about the "who." Spending my day with those that I love, making memories that will last forever is the only response that seems to make any sense at all.
Today, whether it's making fudge or decorating or shopping or whatever - enjoy your family. Give your kids extra hugs and thank the good Lord for another day to spend with them.
