The largest TV program in Germany, SWR 3 RING-FREI-TV, recently featured Delirious? performing three songs from World Service, "Every Little Thing," "Rain Down" and "Inside Outside."
Delirious? also performed an acoustic version of its German hit single, "Inside Outside", on VIVA interaktiv. The network, similar to Americas VH-1, reportedly draws an amazing 10 million viewers between the ages of 14 and 18 each week.
"Inside Outside" is also playing on the biggest radio stations in Germany. Hitting No. 1 on Germanys top station SWR3, the song was also voted by listeners as their favorite radio single. Currently at No. 6, the song continues to chart ahead of Alanis Morissette, Black Eyed Peas and 3 Doors Down singles.
At the largest station in North Germany, ndr2, listeners voted the single their No. 1 requested song, beating out singles by George Michael, Lionel Richie and Sophie Ellis Bextor. ndr2 also named World Service the Album of the Week.
All the hoopla over the band and its music has landed Delirious? invitations to such well-known events as Germanys SWR Arena In The Park festival. Performing in a special headlining guest position, the June 12 festival anticipates a crowd of 80,000 people.
Delirious?s World Service is finding success in the United Kingdom and America as well. Launching its extensive headline tour of the US in Cleveland (Olmsted Falls, OH) this month, the bands American single, "Rain Down," has become its biggest multi-format hit since "Deeper."
Delirious? has sold more than 2,000,000 albums worldwide and is regarded as the forerunner of the modern worship movement. Since its introduction to the American audience with the Gold-selling album, Cutting Edge (1998), the UK-based band has written such international classics as "I Could Sing of Your Live Forever," "Did You Feel the Mountains Tremble" and "Shout To The North."
