One Way, an awesome sounding Christian rock band, calls Kings Mountain, NC home. The band is comprised of Justin Roper (drums), Lee Dixon (bass), Lane Wood (guitar and vocals) and their manager, Brandon Wood, who could easily get sideline work as a comedian. For the record, Lane and Brandon are brothers, ministering for Christ through music together. The band has been together since 2000 and has released two CD's while playing venues throughout the southeast.

Exclusive Interview with One Way

Kim: How did it go today?

Lane: It was awesome. It was a great experience and an awesome opportunity to serve our God and share the talents and gifts that He's given us.

Kim: Have you played at Toccoa before?

Justin: No, it's our first year at Toccoa. We actually played at the AtlantaFest last year so we're excited to come out here.

Kim: Are you planning on coming back next year?

Lee: We'd love to come back next year. Just love to.

Me and One Way Kim: What would you say is the biggest festival that you've played so far?

Justin: Here and Atlanta were pretty big. We also did a festival for youth at the Richmond Coliseum in Virginia and that was a very awesome thing; really cool.

Kim: What do you have coming up for the rest of the year?

Brandon: We just got back from leading a week long conference with Paul Colman Trio. We're going down to Florida after this to play some more shows in the Florida area. We'll also be playing with GS Megaphone in Greensboro, and some more stuff like that.

Kim: For the record, the web site is www.thebandoneway.com. The tour schedule, music and everything fans could want is there on the web site. You guys got anything coming out from the studio?

Brandon: We've actually got 2 CD's out now and we're going back in the studio in about a week or two to get some new stuff recorded.

Kim: Any ideas on a name or are you still in the idea stage?

Lee: We're still in the idea stage of it but we do have two CD's out called Holy Preservatives and Fly right now.

Kim: I appreciate you guys taking a few minutes to talk to me.

The band: Thank you.
