- What is the most important thing that God taught you this year?
This year has been a whirlwind, both in a career sense and in my personal life. God has been showing me that He is constantly moving, changing and doing new things. He's designed for me to do the same. I'm finding that the things that used to work for me don't have the same effect anymore. My Bible study is different. My marriage and family are different. So I have to be able to be flexible and grow into whatever man wants me to be NOW. He's also been teaching me more and more about who I am in Him. He's been showing me that my purpose and identity don't lie in what I do or what people say of me or think of me. My purpose and identity come from my closeness to the Father and what He says and thinks about my heart. This is an ongoing process that has been and continues to be tough at times. But at least we're making progress.
- What is your number one New Years resolution for 2005?
In 2005 I want to relax and enjoy life a little more. I know this comes from setting my heart on God and the things that are eternal; things like Jennifer, my family, and relationships that I am part of.
