- What is the most important thing that God taught you this year?
This last year has been like a roller coaster ride, filled with many highs and lows. The birth of my daughter, Adeline, was one of the greatest experiences of my life, but the loss of my dad to cancer last fall was the hardest thing that I've ever gone through. I was fortunate to have a dad that was there for me in every way. I know that there are many people who don't have parents who are there for them, who don't have fathers that love them the way that they should be loved. One thing that God has taught me since my dad passed away is that even though he's not here anymore I still have a Father in heaven who loves me so much more than my dad ever could. It's also been amazing to see how God has protected and cared for my family in the last year. It's shown me that no matter what comes my way, God will be with me. When life is hard, when work is overwhelming, when the people around me let me down, I can rest assured that God will never let me down. Knowing that provides comfort and peace.
- What is your number one New Years resolution for 2006?
I am constantly striving to be a better husband, father and friend. As a band we are always striving to be a better band, to write better music and to make the most of the opportunities that God gives us...oh yea....and I want to work out enough to unseat Jeremy Camp as the "Strongest Man in Christian Music"! Haha
