Chicago-based Central City Productions, Inc. (CCP) produces the Stellar Gospel Music Awards. The first show was taped at the Arie Crown Theater in Chicago. For the past 2 years, the Stellar Awards have been held in Houston, TX. This year they will return to the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville for the first time since the early 1990's.Central City Productions has announced that both Fred Hammond and The Winans Family will be honored during the televised ceremonies of the 21st Annual Stellar Awards, on January 21, 2006 in Nashville. The Winans will receive the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award and Fred Hammon will receive the Most Notable Achievement award. Hosts of this years awards show will be Donnie McClurkin, Israel Houghton and Vickie Winans.
Featured performers will include J Moss, Kurt Carr & The Kurt Carr Singers, Yolanda Adams, Kirk Whalum, Dr Charles Hayes & The Warriors, Donald Lawrence, Dottie Peoples, Kirk Franklin, Walter Hawkins, Jeff Majors, Shirley Caesar, Mary Mary, Mississippi Mass Choir, Smokie Norful and Joann Rosario.
