Compiled by music journalist Deborah Evans Price, Country Faith is a hardback devotional book that features fifty-six of today's top country artists sharing their favorite scriptures, explaining why those passages touch them as deeply as they do and how they impact their daily walks with Christ.

Beautifully put together, the book gives readers a deeper look at the why behind these talented artists. Some of them are people that have been quite vocal about their faith in their career histories; others have had some of their "broken moments" highlighted in the mainstream press and are shining examples of Jesus' love of the hurting and His immense grace. All of them have a story to share, a moment that let's you know that despite being "famous," they're still people who need the Lord and count on Him to get them through their lives.

We sometimes delude ourselves into thinking that fame and fortune somehow make you immune to tragedy, that the spotlight is so bright that bad things can't touch you when you're in it. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Steven Curtis Chapman lived a "charmed life" until the day that his youngest daughter, 5-year-old Maria, was tragically killed in an accident. Todd Smith of Selah and his sister, Nicol Sponberg, formerly of Selah, both lost children in a 7-week time frame. These three cases alone prove that the bright lights of the stage don't keep bad things away, they just make sure that everyone can watch the aftermath of your tragedy. While the 56 country artists who appear in the book haven't necessarily all faced tragic circumstances like Chapman, Smith and Sponberg, they have lived and living means making choices - both bad and good - and they have survived the consequences.
