How Well do you Know Chuck Norris?
Written with Ken Abraham this book isn't your typical auto-biography; filled with so many dry facts that you wonder how the person in question managed to stay awake long enough to actually live the life they're writing about. It also doesn't swing the way of so many others; glorifying every "bad" thing the author can think of in order to either garner your sympathy or make you feel like they're the ultimate "bad boy/bad girl" on the planet. AGAINST ALL ODDS my story actually reads more like a very well written novel that keeps you interested without taking you over the edge of sanity and reason.
No Soft and Easy Here
Chuck doesn't shy away from topics like ...
- ... growing up with an alcoholic father and a mother who never stopped praying and reminding her kids that God had His hand on their lives.
... being so broke that pretty much everyone he knew advised filing for bankruptcy.
... a moment of unfaithfullness, a marriage growing apart, divorce and remarriage.
... fear - yes, this modern-day hero has experienced it too, as both a child and as a man.
The bottom line is that this is an extremely well-written book that gives readers a complete picture of a man who is much more than just a martial-arts champion, a movie star and a TV star. If you're already a Chuck Norris fan, you'll love this book because it will tell you more about the man himself than you probably thought you would ever know. If you're not a Chuck Norris fan, you'll still love this book because it will tell you a story of a man who has not just survived life, but triumphed.
