Recorded during the 09/10 "Until the Whole World Hears" tour in Greensboro, North Carolina, North Charleston, South Carolina and Huntsville, Alabama, this 2-disc set features eight live versions of: "Until the Whole World Hears,"  "If We’ve Ever Needed You," "Glorious Day," "Mercy," "To Know You," "Holy One," "Blessed Redeemer" and "At Your Feet." as well as 80 minutes of behind-the-scenes content and the “Until the Whole World Hears” music video on the DVD. The music video also features fan-submitted clips from around the world of audiences singing the title track.

Another highlight on the DVD includes "Mark Hall's Teaching Video Series." The five devotional-styled video lessons led by pastor Mark Hall, give viewers a deeper look at the Biblical studies and personal stories that have inspired the band's songs.

Casting Crowns' fourth studio album has plenty of shining moments and there is a little more of a rock edge on some of the tracks, but some critics feel like there wasn't the same "umph" that reached out and grabbed you by the throat on their first two releases.

Recorded at the band's home church in Atlanta, Georgia, Live From Atlanta was the start of a pattern with the popular band. After each CD is released, the following year a live version CD/DVD comes out.

The DVD of Live From Atlanta includes video footage of same songs that are on the CD. It also includes the music video for "American Dream" and interviews with members of the group.
