Eisley - 'Room Noises' - The Review
Fresher than your morning paper, Eisley is made up of three sisters, a brother and their best friend who have been playing together for at least five years. Fresh from their recent opening tour with Coldplay, Eisley is brightly reminiscent of Sixpence None the Richer, right down to the dreamy vocals of the Dupree sisters so sweetly similar to the mighty Leigh Nash. These vocals are amazingly luminous, the songs are richly textured, and the production is flawless. Lyrically, there isn’t much to direct the listener toward God. You’ll have to decide for yourself how you feel about that, but musically it’s very difficult to not be blown away by the talent and originality of this sparkling young group. Each whimsical song is a keeper, rare in itself. The harmonies are pitch-perfect, the material wildly fanciful. An adventure in mind-expansion for the unafraid. “Trolley Wood” closes this dynamic project perfectly, an exhilarating finish. Don’t forget their name, you’ll be hearing much more about Eisley, I’m sure of it.
