Guide Review - Casting Pearls - 'Casting Pearls'

Casting Pearls was a fun CD to listen to and review. Casting Pearls, as a band, brings a really good mix of music and lyrics that, while following in the trend of the new "rock" sound, adds a refreshing spin. A good mix of uplifting tracks like "You Alone" and "Love Done Something" along with a well done arrangement on "Whole World In His Hands" are just a few of the good ones on this release.

While paying obvious homage to bands like U2 and Queen in the flow and delivery of this CD, it's still a good piece of work that isn't what I'd call a "copy-cat." And while I liked the CD, I would have liked to have seen a little less homage and a little more spreading of their own wings. These guys are good and I believe that they have a bright future ahead of them.
