Guide Review - Something Like Silas - 'Divine Invitation'
A melodic mixture of praise and worship, soulful ballads and a few darker rock pieces topped off with some very moving lyrics combine to make a well balanced, well presented CD. Something Like Silas has managed to blend varying musical styles and powerful messages that read almost like poetry with songs like "Divine Invitation" and "When I Search." "I Fall," is a truly moving ballad. "Rains Pour Down," a personal favorite, perfectly matches the music, the message and the mood with an added flair that can only be described as mystical. The production on this release is excellent on all of the tracks and the harmony is outstanding.
