Guide Review - Bebo Norman - 'Try'

It seems that Bebo Norman has undergone some changes while settling into married life. His new priorities have paved the way for some serious growth, as both a person and a songwriter.

Try itself brings some familiar things from Bebo that fans have grown to love, but it also shows that Bebo reached out for something a little deeper ... and found it. The CD is a good mix of Bebo's folk-pop artistry and a deeper, more mature level of songwriting. The pop-sounding hooks found in Bebo's last couple of releases are gone as he has made a return trip to his raw acoustic roots. Try has a personal and very unpretentious feel to it.

Personal favorites on Try include "Disappear," "Nothing Without You" and "Other Side of Day." Overall, I give Try a thumbs up!
