Guide Review - Jill Phillips - Nobody's Got It All Together
The only down-side to this release is that I like it so much that I am having a hard time writing about it. How many ways can I say "I love it!" without sounding redundant?
The title track, "Nobody's Got It All Together," hits home ... hard.
- What good is it to say "Please Savior come"
If there is nothing you need rescue from
Life is something no one has a corner on
The moments in life we've all seen, when your head says "God will fix it" but your heart doesn't quite get it are covered quite well in "By A Thread."
"Square Peg" ... not fitting into the mold of the world ... oh yeah!
The absolutely beautiful "Daily Bread" is musically reminiscent of early James Taylor, with a message that will make you really think.
"Turn It Around" - let me introduce my theme song!
- Patience is a virtue I don't always have
But the truth is You know what I need
Long before I ever ask
Follow that up with my second theme song (as I close in on 39), "The Middle" and I'm left feeling like Jill is living my life.
The other five songs are just as wonderful. Listen for yourself and you'll fall in love with Jill Phillips.
