'Mockingbird' - As Beautiful as it is Powerful
"A New Law" hits home on the political front with lines such as, "Don't teach me about politics and government. Just tell me who to vote for," reminding us all that blindly following popular opinion isn't what God had in mind for us.
Beautifully done, "Rich Young Ruler" deals with poverty and how many of us don't see it since it isn't in our faces. It's harder to really see something that doesn't impact us directly. "Poverty is so hard to see when it's only on your TV 20 miles across town."
"My Enemies Are Men Like Me" is a modern-day war protest song that uses lines like "peace by way of war is like purity by way of fornication it's like telling someone murder is wrong and then showing them by way of execution" and highlights parts of a speech by Martin Luther King, Jr.
Other outstanding tracks include "Zeros Ones," "In God We Trust" and my personal favorite, "Love Is Not Against The Law."
