The Review - 'Surrendered & Untamed'
As far as I can tell, Surrendered & Untamed consists of Jason Clark and Jeremy Cole, formerly of Fringe fame. I'm sure there are more members to the band, but my information is limited. It's unfortunate because I'd love to really rave about these guys and give out all kinds of titillating information to draw you in to their wild web of worship. But their wonderful new CD is only in pre-production and they sent me very limited information. Check out their web site to get a copy or more info, but the important thing to note here is: track them down no matter what you have to do. These guys are good, very, very good. Think Delirious without the accent. That good.
The first cut starts the whole thing off strong and true with "My Beautiful Song", its lyrics a study in passion and zeal:
- "I've felt a sense of urgency, a lion come alive in me, in revelation of Your love, it's time to change the world, to live life true and wild, my revolution of the heart."
It only gets better from there, each track epic in theme and grandeur. Both lyrically and instrumentally, they are wildly creative and build an atmosphere of awe that lends itself to sincere worship; again, like Delirious. Clark and Cole are worshippers extraordinaire, and will lead you as far into the presence of God as you are willing to go. You can't ask for more than that.
