Bible Verse of the Day

10"Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. 12Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
I've heard people say some pretty ugly things about Christians getting so upset that Christ is being leached out of Christmas. For that matter, I've been called a few unflattering names because of my own stance (Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without Christ!). While it still angers me, I'm reminded that Jesus was insulted (and much worse) before me, and he warned us that it would happen to us as well. The end result is that we will be blessed in the kingdom of Heaven, which makes it not just bearable, but worth it.
