Merry Christmas!
Bible Verse of the Day
- Psalm 62:7 (American Standard Version)
With God is my salvation and my glory: The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
Life can throw you curve-balls ... so know where your own strength lies. You can only go so far on your own accord, but God's strength and stamina never run out.

Holiday Tip of the Day
- I grew up in the south, as did my mom. For her, part of that meant that everything she could think of to cook was fried! As an adult, I don't fry foods that often (more due to the mess than the health implications), but mom still fries food quite a bit. So for Christmas this year she wants a really nice fryer. Recipe of the Day
-
Christmas and cookies go hand in hand. Tomorrow is the last Monday that the kids will go to school before the New Year, so as is our tradition, we're spending the majority of the afternoon baking cookies for them to take to their teachers. Every year we create a theme for our school baking and this year that theme is Chinese. Rhonda Parkinson, our Guide to Chinese Cuisine, has the Top 6 Easy Chinese Cookies on her site that look really tasty, so we'll be using those recipes. I went to our favorite Chinese restaurant and got several empty take-out containers yesterday. We'll put the cookies in the take-out cartons in layers with wax paper in between, wrap the handles with red and green curly ribbon and voila! ... instant holiday cheer! Get the recipe.
