Children's Movie of the Day
- Booples
Perfect for kids, the Booples DVDs are great way for parents to help their little ones learn Bible verses, as well as core, Christian values. I loved it ... and my little girl loved it more!
Family Video of the Day
- Andre Rieu - Christmas Around the World
Classical performer Andre Rieu treats his fans to 23 festive tracks with this Christmas release. Rieu celebrates the holiday season with songs including "Jingle Bells," "Slumber my Darling," and "Winter Wonderland."
Holiday Tip of the Day
- Christmas shopping for my six-year-old is night and day compared to shopping for my 15-year-old. Don't get me wrong, the items on her "wish list" aren't exactly cheap, but they're kids toys, so for the most part, they're reasonable. My son, on the other hand, isn't a little kid anymore. His wish list is full of "big boy toys" with "big boy prices!" Take, for instance, his wish to expand his PC with an "External Hard Drive." It's a good thing I've got Lisa Johnston to read - otherwise, I would be lost!
Recipe of the Day
- I skipped making a dessert last night, and the kids nearly rioted, so I'm back at it tonight. Kydonia sto Fourno (Sweet Baked Quince) is another Greek treat, courtesy of Nancy Gaifyllia, our Guide to Greek Food. It only takes about 20 minutes of prep time and is wonderul when topped with low-fat vanilla yogurt. Get the recipe.
