Chris Tomlin is the most often sung contemporary artist in U.S. congregations every week (about 40 million), which could easily make him the most sung artist anywhere. He also has more songs on CCLI’s chart than anyone else on the planet. These Chris Tomlin worship songs highlight my personal favorite Tomlin songs.
1. "Enough"
"Enough," from Not to Us, was covered by BarlowGirl as quite the rocker. Tomlin's version has more of a "college rock" type of sound, but the impact is still there -- hands down.
2. "You Are My King (Amazing Love)"
From Passion: One Day Live, "You Are My King (Amazing Love)" is one of those songs that takes you straight to the throne no matter where you are when you hear it.
3. "Let Your Mercy Rain"
"Let Your Mercy Rain" is classic Chris Tomlin -- easy to listen to and easy to sing along with.
4. "Your Grace Is Enough"
Chris gives this Matt Maher song a rock touch that you can't help but love.
5. "Forever"
This wonderful worship song is 110% God focused and when Louie Gigilio reads a portion of Psalm 136, it truly takes it over the top.
6. "On Our Side"
With more of a gospel sound than a contemporary praise sound, "On Our Side" reminds us that when God is for us, no one can be against us.
7. "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)"
The live recording of this song, done at a Passion conference, for me, is even better than the studio recording. You feel like you're right there, surrounded by thousands of other worshippers for eight glorious minutes.
8. "Over Me"
Imagine sitting down with Chris Tomlin and his guitar and just listening to him worship. That's the sound and the feel that you get with "Over Me." Very personal worship at its finest.
9. "My Glorious"
"My Glorious," a Delirious? classic, done live at a Passion conference ... wow! Hearing Chris sing while listening to those in attendance worship brings chills every time I hear this song.
10. "Awesome Is The Lord Most High"
The anthem for a generation, a church body, a family and a soul, "Awesome Is The Lord Most High" covers it all.
