Singer/songwriter Mark Harris of 4HIM performed a free concert on September 7th solely for evacuees from Hurricane Katrina who are currently living in the First Baptist Church of Robertsdale in Robertsdale, AL. Harris wanted to give the concert for the victims to provide encouragement and reprieve from the tragedy of the past several days. Currently, 250 evacuees are living at the church.

“It is a very sad situation for anyone who had coastal property on Mobile bay, Dauphin Island, and anything further west,” Mark said. “The wind damage was not that bad but the water damage was the worst it has ever been. I have lived here all my life and been through all the major hurricanes, Camille, Frederick, Ivan, etc., but this is by far the worst because of the size and the overall scope of damage. Please keep us all in your prayers as we on the Gulf Coast clean up and pick up the pieces.”

Mark Harris resides in Mobile, AL with his family and received minor damage from the storm. He encourages everyone to donate money to the First Baptist Church because the church is sending trucks to the damaged communities providing food and water on a daily basis. The donations will be used to purchase food and water.

Donations can be sent to:
