Shaun Groves was back at the Renaissance and hanging out with him made the walk back worth it. He's got a new album coming out in July and we talked about it as well as his contentment with where God has him at right now among other topics. My feet and legs were still unhappy with me so my next block of interviews only being down the hall was a nice blessing. Billy Buchanan of Fusebox quickly became a friend instead of just an aquaintance. We talked about everything under the sun including Georgia (where his wife is from and the place I call home), grits (the food, not the band) and the music we grew up with. Billy doesn't just like to talk about himself, and before I knew it, we were talking about me, my family and my band. When Billy asked me to sing him a couple of songs I almost fell off of the couch but he made it easy and next thing I knew, we were singing together! We ran over our allotted time, but it was OK because Ben and Hannah Stacy of Kainos were so great. Talking to them was like talking to my husband and I about 15 years ago! Ben was heavy into rock and played guitar while Hannah was more a pop/big female voice fan who sang when they first got married. It took him a while, but before long he had Hannah listening to (and singing) rock ... which is a story I'm intimately familiar with because I lived it! These two people have an extraordinary message and a whole lot of talent too. Daniel's Window came in next and we talked for a long time about the Christian Music Makeover. The band looks and sounds great! We ended our day with none other than Chuckie P. Chuckie is a great guy and the industry is truly blessed to have him back in its midst. His new release, A Page From My Life, will be out later this spring.

We had our choice of stuff to do Monday night with four showcases and four concerts that we had invites to, but food was the main priority. By the time we finished eating the exhaustion of the past few days had caught up to us so we decided to skip any night shows and just get some rest.
