GMA Week 2005 Recap

GMA Week runs for five days every April ending with the Gospel Music Association's Dove Awards. During those five days over 3000 people gather in Music City for the premiere annual Christian music industry conference and showcase. New artists are introduced and those artists that we already know and love are on hand to talk of the latest news in their ministries. There are classes, concerts, showcases and tons of great music as well as plenty of opportunities to meet new people and see old friends.

GMA Week 2005 was April 9 - April 13 this year and I was there from Friday, April 8th to Thursday, April 14th. My schedule was full enough that I will have enough interviews to last for the rest of the year!

Here's a not-so-brief recap of GMA '05....

Friday - 4/8/05

After about six hours on the road we (me and Chad Vaughn, my photographer for this trip) arrived in Nashville. The trip wasn't too bad because traffic was light and we had plenty of new music to listen to. I caught up on some of the newest PR kits that I've gotten the past few days while riding to give me a "heads up" on some of the new artists and bands. There wers a lot of old favorites scheduled to be at GMA Week this year as well as a ton of new faces, so the week looked like it was going to be quite interesting ... and it was!
