2009 - Tenth Avenue North
After having one of the most popular songs of the year in 2008, "Love is Here," Tenth Avenue North took home the New Artist of the Year award.
2008 - Brandon Heath
Brandon also had nominations for Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year in 2008.
2007 - Aaron Shust
Aaron Shust hit the scene in a big way in 2007, taking home awards for New Artist of the Year and Song of the Year, while being nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year and Worship Song of the Year.
2006 - The Afters
This new band also took home nominations for Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year and Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year in 2006.
2005 - Building 429
The band's first Dove win helped put them into the national spotlight.
2004 - Jeremy Camp
Jeremy Camp was also the Male Vocalist of the Year in 2004.
2003 - Paul Colman Trio
The Paul Colman Trio was no stranger to awards when they first hit the GMA Dove Awards stage. The Rock Across Australia charts had already named them Artist of the Year in 2000 and 2001.
2002 - ZOEgirl
Sadly, only 4 years later, ZOEgirl went their separate ways.
2001 - Plus One
The group's debut album, The Promise (2000), hit gold status in just 10 short months.
2000 - Ginny Owens
Ginny Owens also won the Enhanced CD of the Year award in 2000.
