Groups from all musical backgrounds are asked to submit up to three of their most upbeat and original songs through July 31, 2007. A panel of judges from Tijuana Flats will select the most original songs and feature them on www.tijuanaflats.com, the 2006 Webby award-winning Web site, which receives an average of 25,000 visitors a month.
In a press release, Brian Wheeler, founder of Tijuana Flats, said, "We wanted to create a contest that was fun and easy to enter, while staying true to our ‘anything goes’ philosophy. Through launching the ‘Rock Out With Your Guac Out!’ Summer Music Contest, Tijuana Flats is able to continue to give back to the community by offering independent musical artists the chance to kick start their careers by using our Web site to gain national and international exposure."
