Kim - That was part of Nate's New Year's resolution!

Nate - Yeah, we're HUGE Chuck Norris fans.

Tom - Hey ... can we tell her about the Chuck Norris White House Conspiracy?

Kim - Oh please do!

Tom - The story needs to be broken here.

Nate - OK. I don't think I'm necessarily able to give too much information, but what I can say is that Forever Changed is involved in a project that was called the "Chuck Norris Experience" and is now called the "Chuck Norris Revolution" who played at Cornerstone, IL the past two years in an attempt to meet Chuck Norris and maybe put him in the White House or something like that. Or prime time television since he definitely needs to be on more prime time TV.

Tom - Tell her about the Walker television thing.

Nate - We have a conspiracy theory.

Dan - It's not a theory.

Nate - Yeah, it's not a theory at all. Sorry. (Laughs) George W. Bush, of course, is our President and what everybody should know at George W. Bush is that his middle name is Walker. Not only that, he was the former owner of the Texas Rangers, so at heart, George W. Bush is a Walker, Texas Ranger. We have a Norris in the White House so to speak, so I don't think any of us have anything to worry about with George W. Bush in the White House.

Dan - And that's a wrap.

Later, Brian and I were talking to Ben and he made some statements that were just too good not to share. We were talking again about how the band ministers to the kids that come to their shows. I asked Ben what they actually do when someone comes up to them and asks them about Jesus.

Ben - We try and stress that Christianity is about a relationship, not necessarily a religion. It's not a works thing, where you do your prayer for the day and that's it. It's all about being in the Word and feeling like Jesus is your best friend. He's not just a mystical figure in the bible. He's someone that you know and you trust. It's all about the relationship.

Kim - So you're not teaching religion. You're teaching a personal one-on-one relationship with someone who's not just a character in a book, but a real live part of your life.

Ben - Exactly. I personally am non-denominational, meaning that I feel like I want to go strictly by what the bible says and not necessarily what the Southern Baptist Convention says or anybody like that. I want to go by exactly what the words of Christ say in the bible, not what anybody else says. I want to encourage people to read the bible for themselves. Don't necessarily just take what your preacher has to say, or what another person has to say about Christ, or their faith, as all there is. Make your own faith and read the Word. Don't rely on other people.
