Jordan - I'm Jordan Messer and I play drums for Stellar Kart.
Adam - I'm Adam and I sing.
Brian - I'm Brian and I play the bass. I'm the new bass player.
Cody - And I am Cody and I play lead guitar for Stellar Kart.
Jordan - He's Shredder!
Kim - You guys have a CD that just came out on February 15th - "All Gas No Brake". The word is that it is kind of a description of your band ... wide open.
Cody - We are wide open!
Jordan - We're crazy! You should see Brian on stage. He's out of control.
Cody - If you think our CD is fast and energetic, then you should see our live show.
Jordan - Brace yourself.
Kim - The other half of tonight is that I'm going to be reviewing the show and getting some pictures.
Brian - Oh boy! Do not stink tonight!
Kim - I've read the interviews that you've done so far so I know how you came up with the band name and I don't like to ask things that have already been covered. I don't want to ask you the same questions you were asked last week.
Brian - That's so nice.
Adam - You can believe everything you read on the Internet too.
Kim - It's been a world-wind. You got signed and now you're out here touring with BarlowGirl and Kutless.
Adam - It seemed like it would never happen. Now it's going by really quick. We waited forever, it seemed like, to get signed. I mean it was only three years.
Jordan - 20 years!
Cody - Our three years though ... it wasn't like we played a few shows and got signed. For us it was like 150 shows a year for three years, so we were working our butts off.
Jordan - We were all gas!
Cody - No Brake! We've always been like that. Just as hard as we can ... just keep going, keep going, keep going.
Brian - And for me, it was a phone call, a week before we went out on tour.
Cody - He's from Iowa. He was working the corn fields and it was like "Hey! Get in here out of the corn fields!"
Adam - That's not true! (laughs) He was in the right place at the right time.
Brian - Pretty much - and I knew the right person who hooked me up with the deal.
Kim - So are you a permanent number four?
Brian - I guess that's up to them.
Jordan - He's working on it - as long as he doesn't hurt anybody!
Adam - As long as he doesn't whip us with his bass or kill a crowd member, I think he'll be OK. He's already knocked me over once so far. He actually knocked over my mic stand during the first show and he fell.
Brian - It was the first show though, so you've got to cut me a little slack for that.
Adam - First show we played, he knocked over my mic stand and fell down. It was awesome!
Kim - Now that's truly all gas and no brake!
Adam - Welcome to Stellar Kart!
Kim - You started out your year with a pretty big bang, so what are you hoping that the rest of your year is going to be like?
Adam - Keep on going. See a bunch of CDs and play a bunch of shows.
Jordan - A lot of festivals in the summer time.
Adam - A huge tour in the fall.
Cody - Hopefully it will get bigger and bigger and be crazy.
Adam - We still like to play every day so we're not tired yet.
Jordan - We're not breaking. No Brake!
Cody - We drive ourselves in the van and we still would play every day of the week if we could.
Adam - Hopefully we can get a bus. So if there's anybody out there that has a lot of money and would like to give us a bus, that would be great!
Jordan - And drive!
Adam - No, we have a driver.
Cody - If we had a bus and a driver, we'd literally play every single day. It would be great.
Kim - No burn-out here!
Jordan - I can't imagine it getting any harder than the last three years.
Adam - No, it's luxurious being on tour.
Kim - Kutless and BarlowGirls - this is a big tour! The guys from Kutless were telling me how cool it is to have you guys on this tour with them, being able to be there for you.
Adam - Yeah, they've been totally helpful.
Kim - What's the worst part of being on the road? I see a wedding ring ....
Adam - She's here! She's our merch girl. We're about to have another merch girl too. He (points at Cody) just got engaged.
Cody - I'm getting married in August.
Kim - How cool!
Adam - We do miss family though. Doing day to day stuff. Home churches. I miss playing golf. But I'm glad I don't have a day job.
