If you've flipped on the news since Christmas, you're aware of the devastating tsunami that has affected so many lives around the globe. Two of our ministry partners, Dalit Freedom Network and Compassion International are aiding in the relief efforts for tsunami survivors. We wanted to share this information with you, in hopes you might consider getting involved through prayer and/or donations...
Dalit Freedom Network:
Dalit Freedom Network is responding to the requests from India to provide a medical team to those affected by the tsunami in the southern State of Tamil Nadu. We have one team leaving on January 14 and arriving back on January 29. Another team is scheduled for March 6 - 20. Please pray for all the travel logistics, medical supplies, accommodations in India, as well as the actual relief work in which we will be involved.We are also collecting money to pay for basic items the Indian nationals are requesting. The medical teams will take the finances to India in order to purchase and distribute much-needed supplies such as blankets, rice, lanterns, clothing, buckets and other items. Compassion International:
The Asian tsunami crisis has resulted in more than 150,000 confirmed deaths, millions are homeless and there is untold suffering and grief.
