Kicking off on April 23 in Nashville during Gospel Music Week, the tour features special guests, NEEDTOBREATHE and This Beautiful Republic and runs through May 11, where the tour will end in Dallas, Texas.
This tour isn't just about great music though. The African Leadership initiative that the band is working with will be featured during the concerts. In a press release, Sanctus Real front man, Matt Hammitt said, "The Mocha Club is making a difference on a forgotten continent and is meeting the physical needs of Africans as its leadership network offers life-sustaining hope to those that God calls ‘the least’ of His children. We’re asking our fans to become educated about this and consider how they can walk beside us. We really see our efforts together making a world of difference in a real battle against HIV/AIDS, poverty and hopelessness, and giving orphans or a street child a second chance at life.”
When Sanctus Real plays the song, “The Face of Love,” on this tour, concertgoers will be able to see a video of the work being done in Darfur, Sudan. The band hopes that their endorsement of the Mocha Club on The Face of Love Tour will provide essentials items such as mosquito nets to prevent malaria, food, clean water, and medication (which is desperately needed) to the refugees of Darfur, Sudan.
