"We realize this trip is about much more than the promotion of our disc," says Chronos lead singer Doug Ray. "It is about ministry to thousands who do not know Christ as well as raising funds for those in need."
"The entire trip is packed with opportunities for strong ministry in a variety of venues, as well as valuable interaction with the children of Africa in some of the projects sponsored by Africa's Children," says Don Tucker, Founder of Africa's Children. "The band members' ability to communicate the needs of the children will be broad and powerful when they return."
Chronos is a six-piece acoustic rock band featuring a unique blend of instruments including sax and violin. With frequent musical comparisons to Dave Matthews Band, they have generated a large buzz in Christian music circles, and an equally large fan base. Prior to their partnership with TAG, Chronos was named one of the "Top 10 Indie Artists" by Christianity Today, and consistently ranked as one of the most popular bands at IndieHeaven.com.
Their national debut CD Downpour will be in CBA stores March 22nd, through the new TAG Distribution system.
