From NBC’s American Dreams, where they portrayed The Who to the silver screen with their cameo appearance in the upcoming Nickelodeon film Yours, Mine, & Ours, Hawk Nelson is hitting Hollywood big! To that end, they performed at the ROXY Theatre last Thursday. In addition to their concert, Hawk Nelson taped a special for the Nickelodeon Channel on the movie and their song written specifically for their scene (“Bring Em Out”). In the film, Hawk sings their song along with Drake Bell just and that is exactly what they did last week at the Roxy. Co-star in the film Rene Russo, who who became friends with the band during the film's production, showed up at the concert to cheer them on.

The remake of this 1968 film features Dennis Quaid portraying Frank Beardsley, Henry Fonda's role in the original film, and Rene Russo co-staring in the role played by Lucille Ball. The story follows two single parents, one with 10 children and the other with eight, who fall in love and elope. They are then left to deal with the kids' attempts to sabotage their marriage. Directed by Raja Gosnell (Scooby Doo, Scooby Doo 2, Never Been Kissed), the film also features Nickelodeon star, Drake Bell (The Drake and Josh Show), Jerry O’Connell (Crossing Jordan), Katija Pevec (Listen Up), and Miranda Cosgrove (School of Rock). Yours, Mine, & Ours opens in theatres nationwide on November 23, 2005.

Hawk Nelson enters the film when the kids throw a huge party. During the party, the band performs their song, “Bring Em Out,” with Drake Bell joining them in their “live” performance. Hawk Nelson’s songs have also been featured on the WB’s shows Smallville (“California”) and Summerland (“Like a Racecar”) as well in 2004 NBC Summer Olympic commercials (“Right Here”).
