Camp Electric, a Christian worship rock 'n roll fantasy camp for teen singers and musicians aged 13-18, will usher in its second year in 2009 with two sessions; June 28 – July 2 and July 5 – July 9.

After the camp had a super-successful debut year in 2008, tobyMac is stepping up his involvement in the camp to take a lead role in promoting the creative virtues of the all-star event.

In a press release, he talked about his excitement. "For me, my entire career has been focused on youth culture and encouraging young people to impact the world through music and beyond.

That’s why I started dcTalk and Gotee Records—that’s why I continue touring.  And that’s also why I’m totally blown away with Camp Electric. They’re passionately focused on youth and awakening teens to God’s love through music and their excellence in musicianship."

A Typical Day at Camp Electric

A typical day at Camp Electric starts with a worship service so the tone of the camp is about the talents campers have been given, and giving those talents back to Christ. The rest of each day will be filled with sessions for the entire camp group, instrument specific sessions, and smaller sessions broken down into levels of experience. There will be free time each evening where campers will have the opportunity to choose from various activities. Each night will end with a concert from one of today’s top Christian bands.

The $800 per camper fee will include all instruction, bible studies, concerts, electives, workshops, recreation, supplies, housing and meals. Trevecca Nazarene University located in Nashville, TN will be hosting the camp again this year.
