Since graduating from Belmont University in 1992 with a church music degree, Travis Cottrell has made his mark as a songwriter, session singer and music arranger. He has also completed many songbook projects, including the Dove-nominated projects Hymns For Praise and Worship (Word) and Redemption: The Power of the Cross (Brentwood-Benson).
His true passion, however, is leading worship. Travis was the worship leader at Two Rivers Baptist Church, a 6,000-plus-member congregation in Nashville, TN, from 1994-1995. Today, his ministry is largely tied to the Beth Moore conferences and her Living Proof Ministries, as the primary worship leader. He will lead worship at all of the Beth Moore conferences for the 2006 - 2007 season.
In a press release, Chris Thomason, president and co-founder of Indelible Creative Group, said, "We are looking forward to serving Travis and his ministry. Travis and I have worked together before, and I am amazed at his diversity. He is a truly multi-talented worship leader, artist, producer, arranger, and writer."
With four previous solo records under his belt, Cottrell is calling this project a classical pop album with Appalachian influences. The album is being produced by Kent Hooper (Scott Krippayne, Charlie Hall, Clay Crosse).
