Rebecca St. James Born:

Rebecca Jean Smallbone was born in Sydney, Australia on July 26, 1977. The oldest of seven children, she moved with her family to the US when she was 14 years old after her dad, David, was offered a job here.

Rebecca St. James Quotes:

- "We may not have a gun to our heads, but every day we make the choice: Will we choose to live for God or for ourselves?"

"God makes His reality so obvious to us in His creation and in the little "mini-miracles" that happen everyday."

"God gives us new strength and perspective when we choose to be quiet with him."

Rebecca St. James - The Early Years:

One year prior to moving to the states, Rebecca went from singing on her school stage to opening for Carman during his Australian tour. That same year, she released her first album, Refresh My Heart, under the name Rebecca Jean. Although leaving her home and budding career must have seemed like a door closing, God had another big door ready to open and at the age of 16, she was signed by ForeFront Records.

Rebecca St. James - More Than Music:

A mere two years after her first Forefront release debuted, Rebecca expanded her reach even farther by writing and releasing her first book, 40 Days With God through Standard Publishing. In 2000, at the age of 23, she expanded even farther still when she played Buck's Assistant in the film Left Behind.

Recording and performing music, writing books and acting - all more than enough to keep anyone busy - but Rebecca didn't stop sharing there. She also became an unofficial spokesperson for True Love Waits, sharing her strong support of abstinence until marriage, and an official spokesperson for Compassion International.

Waiting for her own true love brought Jacob Fink into her life. He proposed Christmas Day 2010 and they were married on April 23, 2011.
