Positive Pop Song Contest
Positive Pop says that they're looking for songs that are "positive pop" (when it has lyrics that either inspire, motivate, celebrate, entertain, encourage, or educate). It doesn't need to literally be "pop", it can be country, jazz, hip hop, adult contemporary, rock, etc. Entries are accepted through July 31st.

National Day of Prayer Launches Theme Song Search for 2006
The National Day of Prayer Task Force announces it will conduct a national search for its 2006 song based on the theme, America, Honor God. Songs may be submitted through September 26 and will be judged by a panel of music industry professionals.

Devotion Music has announced the launch of the 2005 Worship Hymn Song Search. A team of industry professionals led by songwriter/producer and former Whiteheart member Billy Smiley is searching for new versions of old hymns to be recorded for the nationally released album "Worship Hymn - Around the World".

The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) has announced its winners for its 2004 annual competition. Called “the songwriting competition to take note of” by the New York Times, ISC received over 11,000 entries from 77 countries in its third year.
