Thanksgiving is the time of the year that we join together with family and friends and give thanks for our blessings. This is a list of 10 of the best songs that either give thanks or remind us of God's many blessings ... plenty of reasons to be thankful and praise our Savior.
1. "Everybody Praise The Lord" - Lincoln Brewster
From the 2002 release Amazed, Lincoln Brewster reminds us to thank the Lord "for what Hes done in us" in a fun and upbeat way.
2. "Life Of Praise" - Casting Crowns
Casting Crowns, their self-titled debut release in 2003, is where you will find "Life Of Praise," which reminds us that God is "worthy of all praise."
3. "Nothing Compares" - Third Day
2001's Come Together is the album that is home to "Nothing Compares." Being thankful for the job, the house and the family is important, but don't forget God ... "Nothing compares to the greatness of knowing You, Lord."
4. "I Love To Praise" - Natalie Grant
Perfectly showcasing Natalie's voice, "I Love To Praise" is a perfect complement to any Thanksgiving celebration.
5. "Indescribable" - Chris Tomlin
A few simple words that sum God up is nearly impossible, but Chris Tomlin does a pretty good job with "Indescribable" and "Uncontainable" in this cut off of the 2004 release, Arriving.
6. "Cannot Say Enough" - MercyMe
From their debut release with INO Records, "Cannot Say Enough" didn't get nearly as much publicity as "I Can Only Imagine," but it's still a great worship song and it's perfect for Thanksgiving.
7. "The Throne" - Michael W. Smith
This early Michael W. Smith song (1988) is off of the release I 2 Eye and complements any mention of giving thanks.
8. "Wonderful, Merciful Savior" - Selah
Nicol Smith's vocals on this song make worshipping and giving thanks an easy thing to do.
9. "Hosanna" - Kirk Franklin
2002 saw The Rebirth Of Kirk Franklin and this cut is pure Kirk -- uplifting, with a full choir, it's guaranteed to get you out of your seat!
10. "In Your Presence" - Jeremy Camp
The last song on 2002's Stay sings to "God, Maker of the heavens."
