Centricity Records' new solo artist, Daniel Kirkley, talks about his mom and Mother's Day.
"I love Mother's Day...just to have a day set aside to show Moms how much we, as their kids, are thankful for everything they have done for us...and in our lives; all the sacrifices...and unending support. I normally try to make it home for Mother's Day...just to spend time with my Mom. I cherish those moments...just being with her. But as I've gotten a little older, and schedules have gotten a little crazier...I haven't been able to make that yearly trek... So now, I like to surprise her with a different bouquet of flowers... normally send them the Friday before...so it just adds a little sunshine to her work day. This year...a dozen yellow long-stem roses... Yellow is her favorite color. Flowers and a thoughtful card...you just can't go wrong with that - hahaha!"
