In honor of dads everywhere, some of the members of the new pop/rock band from London, Article One, talk about their dads.
Nathan Piche Says ...
For as long as I can remember, and probably before I even realized it, my dad has had a tremendous impact on my spiritual growth. He's been a role model and shown me how he's always done his best to live out his faith. Dad became a Christian near the end of high school, and for him, accepting Christ meant inviting Jesus into his heart and every other area of his life as well. Over the years, I've actually met a few of his high school friends (some of whom my dad actually led to Christ), and all of them have mentioned the total transformation Christ had in my dad's life. For as long as I can remember, Dad's been phenomenal at making time for us and because of that, we've become very close over the years. This has given me the chance to watch him live out his life and show me what's possible for my own life, if I too can trust and follow God. Thanks Dad!
Dave De Smit Says ...
My dad was very instrumental in my spiritual growth. He has provided a great example for me in his work ethic, his faith, in his family life. He puts others ahead of himself, and treats everyone with diginity and respect. For years he has faithfully served the church and community. Growing up, he always made time for me, attending my soccer games or playing street hockey with all the neighbour kids. He is not only one of of my authority figures, but also a great friend, and for that I feel truly blessed.
