- Q. What is the biggest thing that God has done in your life in 2007?
- A. Lesley: In the year 2007 God blessed me with a very healthy year. In 2006, it seemed that I was sick all year long. I had my tonsils taken out, my appendix out, and numerous other illnesses. I also fractured my back. Needless to say, it was a rough year for me. This year I have been in great health, and I am very thankful for that!
A. Chris: The biggest thing God has done this year is giving my Grandpa a resting place in His Kingdom and given me and my Family the ability to make peace and understanding with it all.
A. Brittany: God has definitely helped me to appreciate my life and the opportunities that I've had for the past nine years. When you sing in a group that moves really quickly and experiences are just thrown at you, its hard to really just sit down and grasp everything that you're doing. He helped me to see how much our music has impacted people over the years and really understand how different my life would be if I never had the chance to be in Jump5. I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to be in this group and in peoples lives.
A. Brandon: I think that the biggest thing that God has done in my life in 2007 was give me the strength to know when to step down from something that has been a part of my life for almost a decade. Being a part of Jump5 has been a huge blessing, and it was a very hard decision to make to quit, but I believe that God has something in store for us all, and I hope that He shows us what that is in the coming years.
- Q. What is the hardest lesson that God has taught you in 2007?
- A. Lesley: The hardest lesson I learned in 2007 was patience. At the beginning of this year, Jump5 was not traveling as much as usual. I had to be patient. We embarked on our last tour in September and we will be done by the end of the year. Patience is very important when you are traveling with 20 other people. When I am feeling annoyed or having a bad day, it helps to just get in my bunk and read scripture.
A. Chris: God has taught me that life is about change. And it is through Him that the the insanity of change can be overcome!
A. Brittany: He has taught me so many things since the beginning of the group, but this year has been one of the first years where I've honestly had to put my complete faith in Him. When we decided to end Jump5, I was scared because I had become so comfortable being with the same people for so long that I was afraid I wouldn't know what to do without them! I started to think about what would be next for me and it frightened me to think I would be out of my comfort zone. Then I realized, the only real thing I have to do is turn to God and just listen to what He wants me to do. I started to understand why it is so important to put faith in Him, because He is the only thing that really matters. I know that He has something planned for me and as long as I have Him by my side, I have nothing to fear.
A. Brandon: I have seen God speak through so many things in my life in the past year and He has taught me many lessons throughout my entire career in Jump5, but one of the hardest ones I've learned is that God is in control, even when we feel completely lost. He has a plan for all of us, and even though I get discouraged and scared about the things that happen in my life, I've learned to let go and let God take control.
- Q. What are your New Year's Resolutions for 2008?
- A. Lesley: My New Year's Resolutions are to be healthy and happy, and hopefully have a sucessful career in country music.
A. Chris: My New Year's Resolution is to believe in myself and those around me and to find what Gods next move in my life is and follow His plan to the best of my ability!
A. Brittany: To learn how to drive! (and maybe grow up?...nah, I'll save that for 2009. :) )
A. Brandon: My New Year's Resolution for 2008 is to finally finish the new project Brittany and I are working on. We are starting a new band called "guest" and we are very excited to have the time to finish what has been in the works for the past year. We hope to have some material out by the end of 2008.
