The official Top 10 Christian hit songs list is compiled by your Guide by checking and averaging Christian charts from all over the U.S. such as Billboard and R&R.
Casting Crowns still sits on top with East To West. Matthew West joins us with his first single after having vocal cord surgery and Monk & Neagle add to the food for thought with their latest.

Beach Street RecordsThis beautiful song, off of the latest Casting Crowns release,
The Altar and The Door, is one of my favorites. The usual fare from Casting Crowns, "East to West" boasts deep, meaningful lyrics, a perfect blend on the vocals and sterling musicianship. After only four weeks in the Top 10, this song moved up to number one and 19 weeks later it still sits on top.

Six Steps RecordsYes, you've heard this song before (think
Passion), but the
Remedy version is inspired and impressive.

INOThink Casting Crowns' "Who Am I" and you'll get an idea of the theme behind "God With Us."
Who are we that You would be mindful of us what do...
MercyMe has hit the bulls-eye again with this first single off of their latest album, All That Is Within Me.

InpopThis remixed version of "In Wonder," which debuted at number 5 in mid-December, has a smooth little groove going, but still sounds like the Newsboys that we've come to know and love.

SparrowDebuting this week, off of the upcoming (Jan. 15) release,
Something To Say, Matthew West has a great deal to say after successful vocal cord surgery. This album isn't simply food for thought ... it's food for your spirit.

Word RecordsWith a bit of a country flair, "How You Live (Turn Up The Music)," the title track off of the quartet's latest release, is a delightful tune with some strong meaning and a message that we all need to remember. In week 5 in the Top 10, "How You Live" rises up from number 10.

CurbFrom the upcoming 2008 release,
Relentless, the piano-driven "In Better Hands" is soft-spoken yet powerful, much like the lady herself.

Courtesy of: EMIChris Tomlin puts a new spin on a classic hymn by adding the very powerful praise chorus "My Chains Are Gone." As always, Chris does a fine job of bringing a classic to the fore-front of the 21st Century.

Provident MusicDebuting this week, "The Twenty-First Time" is the title track off of the band's sophomore release, which hit stores in September. Think Casting Crowns' "If We Are The Body" ... it's not the same sound, but the sentiment is quite similiar.
Drifter or stranger, father or son
I’ll look for Jesus in every one
’cause I am the body and drink of the wine
and I’m thankful there’s more than the twenty-first time

ProvidentIf you haven't heard Brandon Heath before, this is a great tune to get to know him with. From the 2006 release,
Don't Get Comfortable, this song has a really nice, easy sound and in the Top 40 Songs of 2007, it came in at a strong number 5.
