The official Top 10 Christian hit songs list is compiled by your Guide by checking and averaging Christian charts from all over the U.S. such as Billboard and R&R.
Matthew West and Jeremy Camp hold the top slots this week in the Top 10. They're joined by debuts from tobyMac, Seventh Day Slumber and Children 18:3.
1. You Are Everything - Matthew West
This song is definitely a hit for West. Off of the new release, Something To Say, Matthew West has a great deal to say after successful vocal cord surgery. This album isn't simply food for thought ... it's food for your spirit.
2. Let it Fade - Jeremy Camp
Jeremy and wife Adrienne hit every note on this beautiful pop/rock tune, making it one of the best from the CD (which is excellent in itself).
3. Never Going Back To OK - The Afters
"Never Going Back To OK," which debuted 9 weeks ago, is the title track off of of the band's February release. Upbeat pop is the phrase of the day and The Afters do it quite well.
4. God With Us - MercyMe
Think Casting Crowns' "Who Am I" and you'll get an idea of the theme behind "God With Us."
- Who are we that You would be mindful of us what do...
MercyMe has hit the bulls-eye again with this first single off of their latest album, All That Is Within Me.
5. Declaration (This Is It!) - Kirk Franklin
Kirk Franklin hits another home run with "Declaration (This Is It!)." Who else could mix Kenny Loggins with urban gospel and make it sound great? In week 4 in the Top 10, this song is gaining momentum after starting out at number 10.
6. Give Me Words To Speak - Aaron Shust
Off of his sophomore album, Whispered And Shouted, Aaron Shust sums up a problem that many of us have with "Give Me Words To Speak."
- Cause I can’t think of anything worth saying
But I know that I owe You my life
So give me Words to speak
7. One World - TobyMac f/ Siti Monroe
Debuting this week, "One World" is off of Toby's album, Portable Sounds. Very much like "Hey Now" from Welcome to Diverse City, this reggae styled tune will definitely get your groove on.
8. Awake - Seventh Day Slumber
Debuting this week, "Awake" is the first track on Finally Awake. Hard hitting with some major rock, this song is pure Seventh Day!
9. Unbreakable - Fireflight
"Unbreakable" is the title track off of the new release from Fireflight. This tune has been featured on NBC's "Bionic Woman" and it rocks!
10. You Know We're All So Fond of Dying - Children 18:3
Debuting this week, this song comes from the band that many are saying has brought punk music back to life!
