The official Top 10 Christian hit songs list is compiled by your Guide by checking and averaging Christian charts from all over the U.S. such as Billboard and R&R.
Matthew West and Casting Crowns have the two most popular Christian songs in the land this week with Steven Curtis Chapman and MercyMe close on their heels.
Moving into the top spot from number 2, this song is definitely a hit for West. Off of the new release, Something To Say, Matthew West has a great deal to say after successful vocal cord surgery. This album isn't simply food for thought ... it's food for your spirit and your soul.
In week 4 in the Top 10, "Every Man" is the latest radio release from The Altar and The Door. As always, Mark Hall hits home with the lyrics on this tune, reminding us that there are plenty of every-day type people out there waiting for someone to give them some words of hope, encouragement and love.
The latest from Steven Curtis Chapman, "Cinderella" is off of This Moment and it's sure to be any parent's favorite because we all have those "Cinderella" moments with our kids where we take the time to smell the flowers and soak up the joy that God puts into them.
Moving down to #4 from the top spot, this tune is saturating the airwaves all over the country. Think Casting Crowns' "Who Am I" and you'll get the gist of the familiar theme behind "God With Us."
Who are we that You would be mindful of us what do...
MercyMe has hit the bulls-eye again with this first single off of their latest album, All That Is Within Me.
Still holding strong at #5, Jeremy and wife Adrienne hit every note on this beautiful pop/rock tune, making it one of the best from the CD (which is excellent in itself).
Down from number 6, "All Because of Jesus" comes to us from Fee's 2007 release, We Shine. You've heard this tune before because Casting Crowns covered it on The Altar And The Door but you haven't heard it like this.
Chris Tomlin puts a new spin on a classic hymn by adding the very powerful praise chorus "My Chains Are Gone." As always, Chris does a fine job of bringing a classic to the fore-front of the 21st Century.
Down 2 slots from number 7 last week, "Never Going Back To OK," which debuted 15 weeks ago, is the title track off of of the band's February release. Upbeat pop describes this tune and The Afters do it quite well.
"Unbreakable" is the title track off of last month's new release from Fireflight. This tune has been featured on NBC's "Bionic Woman" and it rocks ... hard!
