The official Top 10 Weekly Christian hit songs list is compiled by your Guide by checking and averaging Christian charts from all over the U.S. such as Billboard and R&R.
Matthew and Francesca are the power couple again this week and new music from Pillar, Jars of Clay and Marvin Sapp helps close out Memorial Day 2009 in the U.S.
1. "The Motions" - Matthew West
The last single release from Something To Say spent 20 weeks in the Top 10 and was the #1 song of 2008. Does "The Motions," a powerful song about living your life instead of just going through the motions, have what it takes to do as well as "You Are Everything?" With this song being in the top 2 on five different charts again this week, I would have to say yes!
2. "Free To Be Me" - Francesca Battistelli
After debuting 16 weeks ago, this song moved up the charts like a bullet. The upbeat "Free To Be Me" is the second radio release from My Paper Heart to make the Top 10.
3. "In The Hands of God" - Newsboys
"In The Hands of God," which we first saw three weeks ago, is the title track from the latest Newsboys release. Very upbeat and positive, this song is a highlight of the album.
4. "Set The Dial" - Run Kid Run
"Set the Dial" from Love At The Core debuted three weeks ago and is moving up each week. Perfect for any spring afternoon with the top down, this tune reminds us that we are the "radio" to the world - sharing the message of God to those who tune in.

5. "State of Emergency" - Pillar
Debuting this week, "State of Emergency" comes from For The Love Of The Game and is a call to serve to the masses.
6. "Two Hands" - Jars of Clay
Our second newcomer to the chart this week comes from The Long Fall Back To Earth. This pop tune is easy to relate to, as it is all about our battles with the temptations of the world and how hard it can be to surrender.
7. "Bless The Lord" - Laura Story
Laura's latest, which debuted last week, is from Great God Who Saves. Her amazing voice and passionate delivery make this one a keeper.

8. "Finally Home" - MercyMe
"Finally Home" is the latest single release from All That Is Within Me and this is the 13th week we've seen it. Bart Millard's favorite song on the album because it reminds him of the day that he'll get to see his dad again, this emotional tune resonates with listeners because we all have loved ones that we long to see again.
9. "Praise Him In Advance" - Marvin Sapp
Our final newcomer of the week, "Praise Him In Advance" is another hit single from Thirsty. The inspiring, worship filled tune is a true jewel.
10. "Peace and Favor Rest on Us" - Kurt Carr & The Kurt Carr Singers
In its 15th week, "Peace and Favor Rest on Us" comes to us from the two disc set, Just The Beginning. Kurt really goes back to his roots on this one and in a word, it's infectious.
