The official Top 10 Christian hit songs list is compiled by your Guide by checking and averaging Christian charts from all over the U.S. such as Billboard and R&R.
Jeremy Camp and Third Day, two huge names in Christian music, take top honors this week with the most popular songs. Tenth Avenue North comes in right behind them with new music and Matt Maher joins us as his album orbits the earth with the Space Shuttle.
1. "Let it Fade" - Jeremy Camp
Moving up from number four, Jeremy and wife Adrienne hit every note on this beautiful pop/rock tune, making it one of the best from the CD (which is excellent in itself).
2. "Call My Name" - Third Day
"Call My Name," which debuted last week, is off of the upcoming new album, Revelation, which releases on July 29th. Brad Avery may be missing, but the classic Third Day sound sure isn't. This rocker is just a taste of what we have to look forward to in July.
3. "Love is Here" - Tenth Avenue North
Debuting this week, "Love is Here" is off of the band's debut CD, Over and Underneath. Soft rock with touching lyrics, this tune could easily be an "Unplugged" version of Switchfoot.
4. "All Because Of Jesus" - Fee
Moving down a spot from #3, "All Because of Jesus" comes to us from Fee's 2007 release, We Shine. You've heard this tune before because Casting Crowns covered it on The Altar And The Door, but you haven't heard it like this.
5. "You Are Everything" - Matthew West
Moving down from number 2, this song is definitely a hit for West. Off of the new release, Something To Say, Matthew West has a great deal to say after successful vocal cord surgery. This album isn't simply food for thought ... it's food for your spirit and your soul.
6. "Every Man" - Casting Crowns
Moving down from the top spot in week eight in the Top 10, "Every Man" is the latest radio release from The Altar and The Door. As always, Mark Hall hits home with the lyrics on this tune, reminding us that there are plenty of every-day type people out there waiting for someone to give them some words of hope, encouragement and love.
7. "Washed By The Water" - NEEDTOBREATHE
"Washed By The Water" is off of NEEDTOBREATHE's 2007 album The Heat. Piano-driven and based on a true story, this one is a real winner.
8. "Cinderella" - Steven Curtis Chapman
The latest from Steven Curtis Chapman, "Cinderella" is off of This Moment and it's sure to be any parent's favorite because we all have those "Cinderella" moments with our kids where we take the time to smell the flowers and soak up the joy that God puts into them.
9. "Song of Hope" - Robbie Seay Band
"Song of Hope (Heaven Come Down)" is off of the band's 2007 release, Give Yourself Away, and it debuted in the Top 10 eight weeks ago. Reminiscent of David Crowder Band, this modern worship song is upbeat and engaging.
10. "Your Grace is Enough" - Matt Maher
Debuting this week, this beautiful song is off of Matt's Essential Records debut, Empty & Beautiful, which is literally "outta this world" as it went into space this weekend on NASA’s Space Shuttle Discovery Mission STS-124.
