The official Top 10 Christian hit songs list is compiled by your Guide by checking and averaging Christian charts from all over the U.S. such as Billboard and R&R.
Tenth Avenue North has shot to the top this week with Fee coming in at number two. Run Kid Run joins the party with new music and the summer is just getting started.
1. "Love is Here" - Tenth Avenue North
"Love is Here," which debuted last week at number 3, is off of the band's debut CD, Over and Underneath. Soft rock with touching lyrics, this tune could easily be an "Unplugged" version of Switchfoot.
2. "All Because Of Jesus" - Fee
Moving up from #4, "All Because of Jesus" comes to us from Fee's 2007 release, We Shine. You've heard this tune before because Casting Crowns covered it on The Altar And The Door, but you haven't heard it like this.
3. "You Are Everything" - Matthew West
Moving up from number 5, this song is definitely a hit for West. Off of the new release, Something To Say, Matthew West has a great deal to say after successful vocal cord surgery. This album isn't simply food for thought ... it's food for your spirit and your soul.
4. "Let it Fade" - Jeremy Camp
Moving down from number 1, Jeremy and wife Adrienne hit every note on this beautiful pop/rock tune, making it one of the best from the CD (which is excellent in itself).
5. "Every Man" - Casting Crowns
Moving up from number 6 in week 9 in the Top 10, "Every Man" is the latest radio release from The Altar and The Door. As always, Mark Hall hits home with the lyrics on this tune, reminding us that there are plenty of every-day type people out there waiting for someone to give them some words of hope, encouragement and love.
6. "Call My Name" - Third Day
"Call My Name," which debuted two weeks ago, is off of the upcoming new album, Revelation, which releases on July 29th. Brad Avery may be missing, but the classic Third Day sound sure isn't. This rocker is just a taste of what we have to look forward to in July.
7. "Your Grace is Enough" - Matt Maher
This beautiful song, which debuted last week, is off of Matt's Essential Records debut, Empty & Beautiful, which is literally "outta this world" as it went into space this weekend on NASA’s Space Shuttle Discovery Mission STS-124.
8. "Washed By The Water" - NEEDTOBREATHE
"Washed By The Water" is off of NEEDTOBREATHE's 2007 album The Heat. Piano-driven and based on a true story, this one is a real winner.
9. "Song of Hope" - Robbie Seay Band
"Song of Hope (Heaven Come Down)" is off of the band's 2007 release, Give Yourself Away, and it debuted in the Top 10 nine weeks ago. Reminiscent of David Crowder Band, this modern worship song is upbeat and engaging.
10. "Captives Come Home" - Run Kid Run
Debuting this week, "Captives Come Home" is from the April release, Love At The Core. In a word, this song is big ... big vocals, big chorus, big punch.
